![]() Nate quickly flashes his gun but then pulls out a flash drive. Cal admits he should’ve loved and protected his son, but ultimately Cal’s words are meaningless. the sex tapes Cal made) at just 11 years old, explaining they scarred him to the point that Nate had recurring nightmares about his father performing sex acts on him.Ĭal asks his drinking buddies to leave, and then finally apologizes for putting his son through years of trauma. He begins to accost his father for abandoning their family and reveals that he found Cal's stash of porn (a.k.a. Nate greets his dad with an aggressive hug and pours himself a drink. He drives to Cal’s construction site (and current residence) and, upon entering, sees his dad partying with a group of sex workers. It seems like a filler episode and I didn’t really learn anything new about the characters besides how bad Rue is abusing drugs. After Nate flees the East Highland auditorium, mid-dance sequence, we find him in his car, loading a revolver (seemingly the same one he used to threaten Maddy). This episode was all over the place and didn’t end well at all. Cassie is just Nate’s sex toy since the season premiered.I truly believe Cassie could potentially commit suicide if Maddy and Nate get back together. They are making Nate look like Drake but Nate doesn’t have any songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Nate is playing with Cassie and Maddy still wants to be with him. Which will be interesting to see from her upcoming play. She’s pretty much documenting everyone’s lives from her eye lens. This episode definitely showed why Lexi Howard needs a backstory. Fez and Ashtray are ‘Euphoria’ versions of Pablo and Popeye. I love how gangster Ashtray is in every episode. You can’t get high off of your own supply which I believe Rue will do which will lead to Rue asking Fez for money or help to pay back Marsha.Ĭal Jacobs realizing Fez has no clue about the disk of him having sex with Jules was pretty fun. Rue making a deal with Marsha was ideally good for Marsha if Rue wasn’t a drug abuser. ![]() I wouldn’t be surprised if she ended up in the hospital before this season ends. It seems like she’s trying to push everyone. This also showcases that Rue is abusing drugs very badly. I started to dislike Rue this episode because of the way she manipulated Gia and the way she was talking to Ali like they didn’t have a stand alone ‘Euphoria’ episode before this season started. I do wish they would have fought like normal siblings because one of them would have caught a slap into the face like how Kourtney Kardashian did to Kim Kardashian but that’s another day. It showed how Rue is very freaking toxic and manipulative with her showcasing her teaching moments. ![]() The Gia and Rue fight scene was another highlight of this episode. From this episode, Jules and Elliot made a connection and I wouldn’t be surprised if she cheats on Rue with Elliot. I didn’t like that they made Jules look like a hoe but Euphoria is a very dark show so they stayed true to their content. I thought it was a good visualization but do wish their scene was a little longer. ![]() One of the highlights in this episode was LGBTQ representation when Jules, Elliot, and Rue were all on screen. The actors in the Cal Jacobs backstory did a very good job. I truly despise the character and I don’t believe there should be any moment that fans should feel bad for him especially since he’s not trying to change. Cal Jacobs story shouldn’t have been longer than Fezco backstory or it shouldn’t have come before Lexi Howard backstory. Not only is he all of those things, he’s a terrible father to Nate. The Cal Jacobs backstory was very predictable and was good until you realize they humanized a rapist and abuser. After a strong start to this season, this episode had me uninterested but had some good moments. The latest episode of ‘Euphoria’ season 2 is my least favorite episode so far this season.
